SHIPSHEWANA - Aaron Jay Miller, 17, of Shipshewana, died at 5:07 p.m., Sunday, May 4, at the scene of an auto accident, at 0457 N 900 W, Shipshewana.

He was born April 2, 1997, in LaGrange County to Elroy O. and Rachel A. (Schrock) Miller.

Surviving in addition to his parents are a sister, JoAnna (Joe Dean) Eash of LaGrange; three brothers, Nathan (special friend Rosanne Raber) Miller, James Alan Miller and, Luke Ray Miller, all at home; grandmother Mary Alice Miller of LaGrange; and two nieces, Sadie Beth Eash and Leah Grace Eash.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Jason Neil Miller.

Aaron worked for Keystone RV, Goshen.

Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Tuesday May 6, and all day Wednesday May 7, at the family home, 0760 N. 850 W., Shipshewana. Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, May 8, also at the family home. Services will be conducted by Bishop Floyd Lehman and the home ministers of the Old Order Amish Church. Burial will be in East Barren Cemetery, Shipshewana. Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, Middlebury, is handling arrangements.

Miller, Abby Marie

Sept. 14, 2010-July 15, 2014

A celebration of life for Abby M. Miller, 3, of rural Iowa City will be held Saturday, July 19, 2014 at 10:00 AM at the Fairview Mennonite Church with Pastors Don Swartzentruber, Perry Miller and Leon Stutzman officiating. Burial will follow at the Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, July 18 at the Fairview Mennonite Church from 2 - 8 PM. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established for Mission Aviation Fellowship in honor of Abby's special friend Kayla Hertzler whose family serves that mission work. Abby Miller died Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at the Univeristy of Iowa Hospital as a result of a drowning accident. She was able to give the gift of life through heart valve donation.

Abby Marie Miller was born September 14, 2010 at the Univeristy of Iowa Hospital, the daughter of Lowell and Dorothy (Marner) Miller. She was a spunky, sassy three year old that was fond of telling her parents that she was eleven. Abby enjoyed singing loudly and could often be heard belting out the song "Let It Go" from the movie Frozen. She was the resident bug killer in the house and she adored Minnie Mouse. Abby was an engaging little girl that made an impression on people. She loved Jesus and talked to Him every day. She also loved her Baby Janet and Bunny and twirling in her dresses. Abby's name meant "Father's Joy" and she was her earthly father's joy, but she was also the joy of her Heavenly Father who needed her as an angel.

Survivors include her parents, Lowell and Dorothy of Iowa City, three siblings: Kali, Hunter and Alexia, maternal grandparents, Ray and Magdalena Marner of Donalds, SC, paternal grandmother, Alta Miller of Kalona, five aunts and uncles: Janice Marner of Phoenix, AZ, Steven Marner and girlfriend Evonda Braswell of Due West, SC, Rhoda (Ryan) Miller of Donalds, SC and their children: Braydin and Bentley, Merlin Miller of Kalona, Keith (Jannea) Miller of Kalona and their children: Chase and Nolan, a special great aunt, Dini (Odena) Miller of Kalona and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Preceding Abby in death was her paternal grandfather, Elmer Gee Miller.

Miller, Ada McMichael
, 105, died February 26, 2014 at Landis Homes, Lititz, PA where she lived since 1995. Born August 6, 1908 in Pequea Twp. Lancaster Co., PA. She was the daughter of the late Edward Herman and Martha Groff McMichael she was the wife of the late H. Claude Miller who died in January 1995. She was a member of the Strasburg Mennonite Church

Survived by three children, Darlene E. Herr, wife of Lloyd H. Herr, Lancaster; J. Donald Miller, husband of Ruth Weaver Miller, Willow Street, and Jean M. Weaver, wife of John L. Kraft, Lancaster; 14 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and eight great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son C. Darwin Miller, husband of Gladys Swinehart Miller, and a daughter, E. Joyce Glick, wife of the late Jacob A. Glick Jr.; four brothers, Harry, John, Edward, and David McMichael, and five sisters, Anna Mary Pickell, Frances Mueller, Lillian Hostetter, Ella Nauman, and Helen McMichael.

Ada and her husband Claude were farmers in Strasburg Twp. and standholders at the former Southern Market, Lancaster. and Sewing Circle, the Refton and Lampeter Ladies Auxiliary and Farm Women #13. She also volunteered for Ambassadors for Christ and the Lancaster Blind Association, and was a charter member and secretary of the Willow Street Senior Citizens. She was the last of her immediate family.

A Memorial Service was March 1, 2014 at the Strasburg Mennonite Church, Strasburg. Interment was private at the Byerland Mennonite Church Cemetery

Miller, Calvin Devon

Feb. 25, 1949 - Nov. 6, 2014

LAGRANGE - Calvin Devon Miller, 65, of LaGrange, died at 7:45 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 6.

He was born Feb. 25, 1949, in Goshen, to Daniel M. and Anna (Graber) Miller.

Surviving are a daughter, Crystal (Matt) Ristow of Chicago; his mother of Goshen; siblings Luella (Glen) Mast of Topeka, Marilyn (Gerald) Mast of Goshen, Ferman (Mary) Miller of Goshen, Marion (Beatriz) Miller of Middlebury and Dennis (Sandra) Miller of Heber Springs, Ark.; and the mother of his daughter, Ruth (Knight) Hamm.

He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Gerald Miller.

He was a retired over-the-road truck driver of 39 years and recently had been providing Amish taxi service. He attended Crossroads Baptist Church in Shipshewana.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, and from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 9, at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, 1003 S. Main St., Middlebury. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 10, at Pleasant Grove Mennonite Church in Goshen. Burial will be in Clinton Union Cemetery in Goshen.

Memorials may be given to the Diabetes Association.

Miller Daniel M.

GOSHEN - Daniel M. Miller, 94, died at 6:54 p.m. Monday, Jan. 27, surrounded by his family at Courtyard Healthcare Center, Goshen.

He was born May 13, 1919, in Hartville, Ohio, to the late Michael and Barbara (Yoder) Miller.

On February 20, 1947, in Elkhart County, he married Anna Graber.

Surviving are his wife; children Luella (Glen) Mast of Topeka, Marilyn (Gerald) Mast and Ferman (Mary) Miller, both of Goshen, Calvin Miller of LaGrange, Marion (Beatriz) Miller of Middlebury and Dennis (Sandra) Miller of Heber Springs, Ark.; 25 grandchildren; and 69 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death a son, Gerald Miller; a grandson; six brothers; and nine sisters.

He was a farmer, and worked at Shipshewana Auction Barn. He was a member of Old Order Amish Church.

Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29, and all day Thursday, Jan. 30, at the family home, 13962 C.R. 36, Goshen. Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 31, at Norman Raber's home, 13621 C.R. 36, Goshen. Burial will be in Clinton Union Cemetery, Goshen.

Miller, Elroy Glen
, 78, of Millersburg, IN died January 15, 2014 at Goshen, Elkhart Co., IN from complications of a fall. He was born December 14, 1935 at Goshen to Elmer E. and Ida (Nisley) Miller. On September 30, 1956 at Goshen he was married to Marie Gingerich, who was born October 9, 1937 and survives.

Surviving are children, Cheryl (Andy) Gall, Lavonne (Joe) Warstler, Keith Miller, and Diane (Dustin) Lockwood; ten grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and step-sisters, Cora Schrock, Susan Eash, and Martha (Wilbur) Kauffman.

Two children, Carla Dawn, and Dana Lee, a granddaughter, Jessica Warstler, a sister, Laura Ellen Mast, and a brother, Eldon Miller preceded him in death.

He was a Dairy Farmers of America delegate for many years, served on the Interra Credit Union and Clinton Cemetery boards for many years.

Memorial services were held January 19, 2014 at Clinton Frame Mennonite Church, Goshen, IN with burial in Clinton Union Cemetery, Goshen, IN.

MILLERSBURG - Elroy G. Miller, 78, died Wednesday, Jan. 15, at IU Health Goshen Hospital from complications from a fall Friday, Jan. 10.

He was born Dec. 14, 1935, in Goshen to Elmer E. and Ida (Nisley) Miller Yoder.

He married Marie Gingerich on Sept. 30, 1956, at Clinton Frame Mennonite Church.

She survives along with four children, Cheryl (Andy) Gall and Lavonne (Joe) Warstler, both of New Paris, Keith Miller of Millersburg and Diane (Dustin) Lockwood of Goshen; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Harley Mast; three stepsisters, Cora Schrock, Susan Eash and Martha (Wilbur) Kauffman; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two infant children, Carla Dawn and Dana Lee Miller; a sister, Laura Ellen Mast; a brother, Eldon Miller; and a granddaughter, Jessica Warstler.

A lifelong area resident, Mr. Miller was a dairy farmer. He was a lifelong active member of Clinton Frame Mennonite Church and Dairy Farmers of America, where he had been a delegate for many years. He also served on the boards of Interra Credit Union and Clinton Union Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, and from 2 to 2:45 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 19, at Clinton Frame Mennonite Church. A 3 p.m. Sunday funeral service will be conducted at the church with pastors Terry Diener and Matt Yoder officiating. Burial will follow in Clinton Union Cemetery, Goshen.

Memorial contributions may be given to Clinton Frame Mennonite Church Brotherhood Fund or MCC.

Miller Elva Zook

Aug. 5, 1926 - Dec. 21, 2014

NEW PARIS - Elva Miller, 88, passed away Sunday morning at IU Health Goshen Hospital.

She was born Aug. 5, 1926, in Meyersdale, Pa., to John and Tillie (Kinsinger) Zook.

On Aug. 3, 1957, she married Alvin E. Miller in Goshen. He died Dec. 4, 2005.

She is survived by a daughter, Nancy (Floyd) Bontrager of New Paris; three sons, Eldon (Audrey) Miller of Nappanee, Keith Miller and Ken (Sarie) Miller, both of New Paris; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Emma (Henry) Brenneman of Grantsville, Md.; a brother, Simon (Verna) Zook of Goshen; and three sisters-in-law, Marie, Donna and Sara Zook.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a grandson, Kevin Miller; a great-granddaughter, Emily Kauffman; and five brothers, Noah, Henry, Bill, Ray and Paul Zook.

Elva was a homemaker, and a member of Milford Chapel.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home and on Tuesday at Salem Mennonite Church for one hour prior to the 11 a.m. funeral service

Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery, New Paris.

TOPEKA - Freeman S. Miller, 83, died Saturday, May 24.

He was born July 18, 1930, to the late Simon A. and Lizzie (Borkholder) Miller.

He married the late Edna Mae Borntrager on Feb. 15, 1951. He then married Mary (Bontrager) Miller; she survives.

Survivors include 10 children and stepchildren, Jerry (Elizabeth), Vernon (Marietta), Pollyanna (Amos) Miller and Clara Mae (Ernest) Bontrager, LaWayne (Arlene) and LaVerda Miller, Sharon (Floyd), Carolyn (Richard) and Glenda (Galen) Lambright, and Marlene (Freeman) Slabach; 58 grandchildren; 87 great-grandchildren; sister Pollyanna (Dan) Bowman; sister-in-laws Barbara (Andy) Miller and Esther Galloway; and brothers John Henry, Ervin (Margaret) and Amos (Janet) Miller.

He was preceded in death by his brother, son-in-law, stepdaughter and great-step-grandchild.

Visitation will be after 1 p.m. Sunday, May 25, and all day Monday, May 26, with the funeral service at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 27, all at the Vernon Miller residence, 9660 West 650 South, Topeka. Burial will be in Hawpatch Cemetery.

NAPPANEE - Harvey M. Miller, 92, of Nappanee, died at 11:19 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14, at Miller's Merry Manor in Wakarusa.

He was born Oct. 1, 1922, in Locke Township to Manas and Fannie C. (Hochstetler) Miller.

He was a lifetime area resident and a member of North Main Street Mennonite Church in Nappanee. He worked at Robinson and Price Seed and Feed in Nappanee for 35 years and then worked for Schmucker's LP Gas.

Harvey married Leona Miller on Nov. 8, 1942, in Marshall County. She preceded him in death on Dec. 25, 2012.

He is survived by his children, Etta Fern (Wayne) Risser of Elkhart, Rosa Newbry of Goshen, Viola Miller of Nappanee, Larry (Cyndy) Miller of Elkhart, Lanadell (Carl) Helmuth of Adair, Okla., Wayne (Brenda) Miller of Elkhart, Joyce Evans of Nappanee, Sherri (Merle) Alderman of Nappanee and Rhonda (Jim) Bellman of Nappanee; 28 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and sister Rosa Miller of Nappanee.

He was preceded in death by an infant son, Merlin Ray Miller; a great-great grandson; son-in-law Jim Evans; and half brother Albert "Sunshine" Miller.

Friends and family may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 17, at Thompson-Lengacher and Yoder Funeral Home in Nappanee, and for an hour prior to the 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, funeral service at North Main Street Mennonite Church. The Rev. Ruben Chupp will officiate, assisted by Harvey's son-in-law, Carl Helmuth. Burial will follow in South Union Cemetery.

Miller, Herma Viola Blosser Hostetler
, 92, of Orrville, Ohio died April 8, 2014 at the same place.

She was born October 12, 1921 at Fredricksburg, Ohio to Asa and Ida (Miller) Hostetler. Asa was born February 9, 1898 and died April 21, 1973. Ida was born March 22, 1901 and died February 26, 1995.

On July 22, 1943 at Louisville, Ohio she was married to Paul Clinton Blosser, who was born September 1, 1919 and died December 9, 1991. She married 2nd. on August 28, 1993 in Louisville, Ohio, P. Jay Miller of Orrville, Ohio, who survives.

Surviving are son Lyle (Pam) Blosser, daughters Myrna Blosser, and Nyla (Patrick) Barrett; three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; brothers, David Hostetler, Elmo (Linda) Hostetler, and Glenn Hostetler, and brothers-in-law, Elvin Sommers, and Robert Stoltzfus.

Two children, Owen Ray Blosser (stillborn), and Virginia Mae Blosser (stillborn), and siblings, Marvin Hostetler, Edith (Robert) Stoltzfus, Nellie (Elvin) Sommers, and Leon Hostetler preceded her in death.

Memorial services were held April 12, 2014 at Beech Mennonite Church , Louisville, Ohio with burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Miller, Herma V. Hostetler Blosser, 92, of Orrville, OH and formerly of Louisville, died April 8, 2014, at Brenn-Field Nursing Center, Orrville, OH.. She was born October 12, 1921, in Fredericksburg, OH to Asa and Ida (Miller) Hostetler. She was united in marriage to Paul Blosser on July 22, 1943, in Louisville. Paul preceded her in death in 1991. She later married Jay Miller on August 28, 1993, in Louisville. He survives. She was a member of the Smithville Mennonite Church, and was a former member of the Stoner Heights Mennonite Church. She had served on the WMSC Committee and taught Sunday school at the Stoner Heights Church. Also, she was the former treasurer of the Ohio Mennonite Conference.

Surviving in addition to her husband, Jay Miller, are children, Lyle (Pamela) Blosser of Louisville, Myrna Blosser of Canton and Nyla (Patrick) Barrett of Akron; step-children, Marlene (Robert) Campbell of Powder Springs, GA, Dallas Miller of Wooster, Fred (Lynette) Miller of Wooster, Jim (Diana) Miller of Brewster, Gary (Beth) Miller of Indianapolis, IN, Anita (George) Bixler of Orrville, and Eric (Sherry) Miller of West Salem; three grandchildren; thirteen step-grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; three brothers, David Hostetler of Phoenix, AZ, Elmo (Linda) Hostetler of Sunbury, and Glenn Hostetler of Louisville; and two brothers-in-law, Robert Stoltzfus of Orrville and Elvin Sommers of Plain City.

Herma was preceded in death by her first husband, Paul Blosser; two infant children; two brothers, Leon Hostetler and Marvin Hostetler; two sisters, Edith Stoltzfus and Nellie Sommers; and three sisters in law, Geraldine Hostetler, Ellen Hostetler and Gloria Hostetler.

Funeral Service was April 12, 2014 at the Smithville Mennonite Church, Smithville, OH with Rev. Patrick J. Barrett officiating. Burial was at Beech Mennonite Cemetery, Louisville, OH

March 25, 1946 - Feb. 14, 2014

SHIPSHEWANA - Irene Miller, 67, of Shipshewana, died Friday, Feb. 14, in her home.

She was born March 25, 1946, to Emanuel and Abagail (Raber) Bontrager.

On April 21, 1966, she married Melvin W. Miller. He survives.

Survivors include daughters Katherine (LeRoy) Miller of Shipshewana, Linda (Harley) Beechy of Middlebury, Erma (Merlin) Eash of Flat Rock, Ill., LeEtta (Richard) Mishler of LaGrange and Martha (Lynn) Miller of Goshen; sons Lonnie (Vonda) Miller of Shipshewana and Mark (Megan) Miller of Albion; 21 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; four sisters, Anna Marie (Edward) Hochstetler of Shipshewana, Katie Mae (Calvin) Miller and Esther (Orla) Miller, both of Topeka, and Mary Alice Bontrager of Ohio; and two brothers, Levi E.A. (Clara) Bontrager of Goshen and Henry (Etta Fern) Bontrager of Topeka.

Visitation will be after 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 16, and all day Monday, Feb. 17. The funeral service will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18. Both will take place at the LaVern Beechy residence, 5580 W. 200 N., Shipshewana. Burial will be in East Barren Cemetery.

Miller, Irvin N.
, 88, of Lititz, PA, passed away on Sunday evening at Conestoga View in Lancaster. Born in Lancaster County, he was the son of the late Christian C. and Esther Newcomer Miller. Irvin is the husband of Mabel Eberly Miller; together they celebrated 67 years of marriage.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his Life Celebration Memorial Service to be held at Crossroads Community Fellowship, 1060 E. Newport Rd., Lititz, PA on Friday, Sept. 5th at 3:00 PM with Pastor Kyle D. Buckwalter officiating. Private family interment will be held in Hess Mennonite Cemetery.

Jaylin Andrew Miller, of Ligonier, IN passed away unexpectedly as the result of an accident at home on Saturday April 26, 2014. He was seven years old. Jaylin was born on August 19, 2006 in Shipshewana, IN the son of Merlin & Edna (Yoder) Miller.

He is survived by his parents; four siblings, Myron, Jeremy, Kaylene, and Jeryl Miller all at home; Grandparents, Dennis and Ruthann Miller of Ligonier and John J. and Katie Yoder of La Grange; great-grandmothers, Barbara Miller of Goshen and Susie Miller of Topeka.

Family and friends will be received at the family home, 5211 W 1100 N; Ligonier, IN after 2PM on Monday April 28, 2014 and all day on Tuesday.

A funeral service will begin for Jaylin at the family home on Wednesday April 30, 2014 at 9:30 AM. Bishop David M. Miller and the home ministers will officiate. Burial will follow at Clear Springs Cemetery in Topeka, IN.

SHIPSHEWANA - Joni J. Miller, 95, died at 5:15 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5, at home.

He was born Dec. 31, 1918, in Sumner County, Kan., to John E. and Katie C. (Troyer) Miller.

On Dec. 17, 1940, he married Susie A. Bontrager. She died April 28, 2005.

Surviving are his children, Polly Anna (Ivan) Hochstetler and Mary Esther (Wilbur) Miller, both of Topeka, Katie Mae (Lloyd) Yoder of Millersburg, Alta (Christ) Hochstetler and Elmer (Mary) and Vernon (Darlene) Miller, all of Shipshewana, and Wilma (Dewayne) Yoder of LaGrange; 40 grandchildren; 147 great-grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; 15 great-stepgrandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and sisters-in-law Alma Miller and Mary Edna Kurtz, both of Topeka.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Eli, Ammon, Christie and Willie Miller, Susie Yoder and Mary Kurtz; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and son-in-law Melvin Eash.

Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, at the family home, 1620 S. 850 W., Shipshewana. Burial will be in Yoder Cemetery, Shipshewana.

Miller, Joseph, Jr.
, 75, of South Bend, St. Joseph Co., IN died January 25, 2014 at the same place from Mesothelioma. He was born November 18, 1938 at Nappanee, IN to Joseph and Amanda (Schmucker) Miller. On January 7, 1961 at Olive Mennonite Church, Elkhart, IN he was married to Phyllis Hahn, who survives.

Surviving are daughters, Lorie J. Miller (John Woods) of Indianapolis, and Sheila Miller Bigelow (Todd Bigelow) of Lawrenceburg, IN, and four grandchildren: Lauren Bigelow of Indianapolis IN, Katryn, Andrew and Luke Bigelow all of Lawrenceburg, IN; three brothers, Edward J. Miller (Olive Grace), Elkhart, IN; Eli J. Miller (Connie) of Puyllup, WA; and Lester J. Miller, (Martha), Toledo, OH; two sisters, Fannie Mae Miller (Marvin D) of Nappanee, IN; and Elizabeth Tyson (Erwin), New Paris, IN; and sister-in-law, Ruth Miller, Goshen.

Sister, Mary J. Matthews, brother, Marvin J. Miller and brothers-in-law Erwin Tyson and Peter Matthews preceded him in death.

Joseph graduated from Nappanee High School in 1957, then served his alternative IW service at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He then attended South Bend College of Commerce, graduating with honors in 1961 with an accounting degree. Joe spent his life working with "numbers." In 2004, he retired as CFO from UniRoyal/Royal Adhesives after 35 years of service. After retirement he continued to use his accounting skills, with the last position as part time business manager at South Bend Civic theatre. He was an active member of Kern Road Mennonite Church and served as Treasurer, Trustee, Elder and in various other positions. He volunteered at Ten Thousand Villages, Habitat for Humanity, Fuller Center, and served on the boards of Mishawaka Rubber Federal Credit Union and Community Wide Federal Credit Union.

On January 7, 1961, Joe married Phyllis (Hahn), celebrating 53 years of marriage in January. Joe and Phyllis enjoyed traveling, camping with their daughters, taking trips throughout the states and abroad with family and friends.
Many thanks to all family, friends, and medical personnel from Elkhart, South Bend and University of Chicago Medical Center (Mesothelioma Dept.), who helped care for Joe during this journey.

GOSHEN - Kenneth L. Miller, 85, passed away in his home Sunday evening, Feb. 2, after a short illness.

He was born Jan. 29, 1929, in Nappanee to Jacob B. and Mattie (Yoder) Miller.

On April 20, 1954, he married Sally Gall in Nappanee.

She survives along with two sons, Ed and Bruce Miller, both of Goshen; four grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Ruth McGinnis of Elkhart and Phyllis Troyer of Millersburg.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Irene Rheinheimer, Velma Gorce and Lucille Mierau; and three brothers, Dale, Ora and Harold Miller.

A lifetime area resident, Mr. Miller was a member of Silverwood Mennonite Church. A graduate of Shipshewana High School, he worked as a butcher at Old Hoosier Meats, Middlebury. He enjoyed golfing and bowling.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, and for an hour prior the 2 p.m. funeral service Friday, Feb. 7, at Silverwood Mennonite Church, Goshen. Pastor Ron Guengerich will officiate. Cremation will follow the service.

, 82, of Shipshewana, IN died January 15, 2014 at the same place from complications of scleroderma. She was born July 16, 1931 at Inman, KS to Menno and Florence (Kauffman) Troyer. On July 17, 1954 at Inman, KS she was married to Wayne Miller, who survives.

Surviving are children, Kathy (Dennis) Troyer, Becky Manning, Kevin (Rebecca) miller, Jonathon (Christian), Jeff (Kay) Miller, Eric (Melody); 12 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, one sister, Marilyn (Peter) Hartman, and two brothers, Curtis (Kathy) Troyer, and Paul Troyer.

Her stepmother of 60 years, Charity Gingerich Troyer preceded her in death.

SHIPSHWANA — Leabell S. Miller, 82, of Shipshewana, died at 9 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, after a six-month battle with scleroderma.

She was born July 16, 1931, in Inman, Kan., to the late Menno and Florence (Kauffman) Troyer.

On July 17, 1954, in Inman, she married Wayne M. Miller.

Surviving are her husband; children Kathy (Dennis) Troyer of Shipshewana, Jeff (Kay Nofziger) Miller of Goshen, Becky Manning and Kevin (Rebecca Stoltzfus), Jonathon (Christian Yoder) and Eric (Melody Short) Miller; 12 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and siblings Marilyn (Peter) Hartman, Paul Troyer and Curtis (Kathy) Troyer of Middlebury.

She was preceded in death by her stepmother, Charity (Gingerich) Troyer.

Visitation will be for three hours prior to the 5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 19, memorial service at Shore Mennonite Church, 7235 100 N., Shipshewana. At her request, her body will be donated to the IU School of Medicine. Burial of her cremated remains will take place at a later date in Shore Cemetery, Shipshewana.

, 88, of Orrville, Wayne Co., Ohio died February 27, 2014 at the same place. He was born August 6, 1925 at Garden City, Missouri to John and Lucy (Yoder) Miller. He was married to Dorothy Gingerich, who survives.

Surviving are children, Jenell (Doug) Ulrich, Rhonda (Tim) Savage, Gail (Tim) Manickam, and Renee (John) Koshmider, ten grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, two sisters, Joan Vogt, and Joyce Wyse, and two brothers, Jim Miller, and Don Miller.

Three siblings, Justine Nussbaum, Leta Snyder (twin sister), and Robert Miller preceded him in death.

Served as pastor at Eureka Gardens Mennonite Church in Wichita, KS for 16 years. Studied and graduated from Associated Mennonite Biblical Seminary, Elkhart, IN; continued in pastoral ministry at Friendship Mennonite Church, Bedford Heights, OH for 21 years retiring in 1991. Continued to be active in service (SOOP, and serving at MCC Connections Thrift Shop

Memorial services were held March 4, 2014 at Orrville Mennonite Church, Orrville, Ohio with burial in Crown Hill Memorial Park, Twinsburg, Ohio.

OLIVE BRANCH, Miss. - Lucy A. Miller, 80, died at 2:30 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 20, at home.

She was born May 2, 1933, in Shipshewana, Ind., to Gideon and Fannie (Glick) Bontrager.

On Oct. 4, 1952, in Middlebury, Ind., she married Edward R. Miller. He died June 24, 2001.

Her children, Yvonne (Terry) Sell and Gaylord, Don and Bruce (Rita) Miller; grandchildren James (Heather) and Nathan (Jennifer) Miller and Jarad Shannon; three great-granddaughters; sister Suzy Knepp of Goshen, Ind.; foster brothers Perry (Erma) and Ervin (Ruby) Mast, both of Middlebury, Joni (Annabelle) Mast of Goshen, and Junior (Gertie) Mast of Millersburg, Ind., survive.

Her foster parents, Samuel and Susie Mast and Saloma Mast, and siblings Laura Schlabach, Ada Musser and William "Bill" Bontrager predeceased her.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 24, and for one hour prior to the 10 a.m. funeral service Saturday, Jan. 25, all at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home. Her nephew, Pastor Mark Lantz, will officiate. Burial will be in Grace Lawn Cemetery.

Mahlon D. Miller, 83, of Goshen, went to be with his Lord and Savior at 10: 06 pm on Friday, July 18, at his residence after an extended battle with
cancer.

He was the son of Dan R. and Katie (Schrock) Miller. Born April 2, 1931 in LaGrange Co., Ind. He was married Dorothy Nissley on April 5, 1953, by
Homer North at North Main Street Church, Nappanee, Ind. He is survived by his wife Dorothy; three children: Michele Lynn (John) Sharp of Hesston,
Kan; Myron Duane (Doreen) Miller of Jonestown, Pa.; Martin Daniel (Debbie) Miller of Minnetrista, Minn; nine grandchildren: Erin Sharp (Alex
Levene), Michael (MJ) Sharp, Laura Sharp, Amaris Allan (Stuart), Bekah Peiffer (Keith), Charis Spann (Travis), Dara Houp (William), Matt Miller and
Mike Miller; one great granddaughter, Katriel Peiffer; a sister, Viola Ruth (Crist) Miller of Goshen; two brothers, Olin (Anita) Miller and Ora M. (Anita)
Miller both of Goshen; and two sister-in-laws, Ludean Miller of Sun City West, Ariz, and Martha Miller of Elkhart. He was preceded in death by his
parents, two sisters, Lydia (Lloyd) Hershberger and an infant sister, and three brothers, Levi, Menno and Melvin Miller.

He was ordained to Christian ministry in 1961at Pinto, Maryland. He served as a pastor in Maryland, Indiana, Pennsylvania, and Illinois; served as
overseer of congregations in Indiana, Illinois, and Pennsylvania; and provided interim pastoral leadership for six congregations. He organized a
pastoral training program for young people who heard God's call. He served on the Mennonite Board of Congregational Ministries, held marriage
retreats, family life conferences, district conferences, and renewal meetings in numerous denominations. Since 1995, he was a pre-need counselor and
assisted in visitation and memorial services for Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, Middlebury, Ind.

After graduating from Jefferson High School, he studied at Eastern Mennonite College, Goshen College, and Goshen Biblical Seminary. He
served in alternative service as a Licensed Attendant Nurse A in the State of Michigan. He was an avid hunter.

Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 pm on Friday, July 25, at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, 1003 South Main Street Middlebury. There will also be
visitation from 9:00 -11:00 am Saturday, July 26, followed by an 11:00 am funeral service at Brenneman Memorial Missionary Church, Goshen.
Services will be conducted by pastors Mel Shetler, Bill Richardson, Russ Hunsberger, and Harold Knight. The funeral will be followed by a luncheon
and time of sharing. A funeral procession will leave the church at approximately 2:00 pm for a graveside service at Yellow Creek Mennonite
Cemetery, Goshen.

Mahlon was a member of Brenneman Memorial Missionary Church and memorials may be given to the church to be used for scholarships in his

Marlin Joel Miller, 25, of Burns died Oct. 24, 2014 in Cheyenne.

He was born Aug. 12, 1989, in Mount Eaton, Ohio, and had lived in Burns for the past 13 years.

Marlin was a member of the Cheyenne Christian Fellowship Church and enjoyed hunting and flying model airplanes.

Miller, Marvin J., 87 of Parnell, Iowa died July 12, 2014 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City. He was born February 25, 1927 in rural Parnell, Iowa, to Joel J and Barbara (Swartzendruber) Miller. On December 31, 1947 he was united in marriage to Ellen Pearl Bachman in Manson, Iowa. He was a member of the West Union Mennonite Church, Iowa County Cattlemen's Association, Iowa County Pork Producers, and past President of Wellman Telephone Company.

Survived by three children, George (Carmel) Miller of Washington, Frank (Brenda) Miller of Oxford, Sherlyn (Craig) Jantzi of Albuquerque, New Mexico, 9 grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren;15 great grandchildren, and his dear friend Anna Marie Sleeth.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Ellen, a daughter-in-law Elizabeth Miller, and a sister Goldie Bender.

GOSHEN - Melvin E. Miller, 84, died Tuesday morning, Nov. 4, at Greencroft Healthcare in Goshen.

He was born July 14, 1930, in Concord Township in Elkhart County to Noah T. and Rachel L. (Kindy) Miller.

Survivors include a daughter, Debra S. Miller of Goshen; a son, Jeffrey L. (Teresa) Miller of Nappanee; four grandchildren, Stacey (Michael) Polland, Wendy (Lance) Yoder, Drew (Ashley) Buss and April Miller; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Olive Romine of Arizona.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, David Ray Miller; five sisters, Esther Stoll, Nora Stoll, Charlotte Kuhns, Verna Miller and Martha Harder; and four brothers, Ethan, Dennis, Henry and Leonard Miller.

A lifelong area resident and member at East Goshen Mennonite Church, Mr. Miller was employed for 26 years at Goshen Rubber Co. where he worked in production. He enjoyed bowling with the Merchants Bowling League when he was able.

NAPPANEE - Mervin Dean Miller, 10, of Nappanee, died in an accidental drowning while visiting neighbors at 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19.

He was born Oct. 3, 2003, in South Bend, to Lavon Lee and Marlene Miller.

Mervin's parents are members of the Old Order Amish Church.

Surviving are his parents; sisters Naomi LeAnn, Brenda Kay and Loretta JoAnn; brother Jason Lynn; and grandparents Gilbert Lee and Mary Kathyrn (Barkman) Miller of Nappanee, and David H. and Linda Sue (Schwartz) Miller of Bremen.

GOSHEN - Nona K. Miller, 92, of Goshen and formerly of Howe, died Wednesday, Oct. 8, at Greencroft Goshen Health Care.

Mrs. Miller was born Feb. 26, 1922, in Middlebury to Aden and Katie Ann (Troyer) Kauffman.

Living most of her life in LaGrange County, she was a homemaker. She was a member of Marion Mennonite Church in rural Shipshewana, where she was involved with the Mennonite Women.

On June 20, 1948, in Middlebury she married Elmer A. Miller. He preceded her in death Aug. 23, 2007.

Surviving are four daughters and sons-in-law, Becky and Byron Yoder of Goshen, Roberta and Larry Yoder of Goshen, Martha and Jerry Yoder of LaGrange and Miriam "Mim" and Mike Hoover of Millersburg; nine grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; four great-step-grandchildren; a sister, Maggie LeCount of LaGrange; and two brothers and three sisters-in-law, Ben and Gert Kauffman of Union City, Mich., Fred and Alene Kauffman of Amarillo, Texas, and JoAnne Kauffman of Goshen.

Preceding her in death were her parents; a sister, Ruby Kauffman; and brother, Sam Kauffman.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 12, at Marion Mennonite Church, 5460 N. 450 W., Shipshewana, with Pastors Ron and Char Roth officiating. GOSHEN — Odena C. Miller, 79, died early Saturday morning, May 10, at Greencroft Healthcare, where she had been since April 13.

She was born Aug. 24, 1934, in Kalona, Iowa, to Clemens and Mattie (Miller) Miller.

She is survived by a sister, Katie Troyer of Mio, Mich., and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death her parents; eight sisters, Lizzie Bontrager, Barbara Miller, Mahala Yoder, Nettie Ring, and Mary Ann, Mattie, Fannie and Alice Miller; and five brothers, Joni, John C., Eddie C., Freddie C. and Clemens Jr. Miller.

A longtime Elkhart County resident, Miss Miller moved back to the area in January 2012, coming from Florida.

She enjoyed sewing, flower gardening and oil painting. She worked as an LPN at Fountainview and Greencroft health care facilities.

Friends may call from 9 until the 11 a.m. funeral service Thursday, May 15, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Former Greencroft chaplain Dee Swartz will officiate. Burial will follow in Clinton Union Cemetery, Goshen.

On Aug. 16, 1962, she married Milo J.K. Miller. He died Jan. 10, 1983.

Miller, Roman "Bob"

Roman "Bob" Miller of Traverse City, Michigan went to his heavenly reward on Saturday, June 15, 2014 in Sarasota, Florida. Bob was 99 years, 11
months, and 13 days old. He was born on July 2, 1914 in Mission, Texas.

He spent many winters in Florida and summers in Hicksville, Ohio, Goshen, Indiana and Traverse City, Michigan. He was a farmer/carpenter/trailer factory worker in Ohio and Indiana. He was known as the "bicycle man" of Traverse City where his hobby was repairing and selling many bikes.

Bob's wife Verna (Zehr) Miller, brothers Henry J. Miller, Freeman R. Miller, and Leander R. Miller, and an infant brother and sister preceded him in death.

He has one daughter Shirley A. (Glenn) Schrock of Traverse City, Michigan, and two sons, Marvin L. (Mary Ellen) Miller and David R. (Ruth) Miller, both of Sarasota, Florida. Surviving are 9 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, and 16 great, great grandchildren.

Bob will be missed but we know he will be celebrating his 100th birthday in heaven.

Memorial services will be held Thursday, June 19, 2014 in Traverse City, Michigan.

Visitation will take place at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, Middlebury from 1:00 - 2:30 pm on Saturday June 21 followed by a 3:00 pm graveside service at Thomas Cemetery, Goshen.

GOSHEN - Ruth D. Miller, 86, of Goshen and formerly of Middlebury, died at 8:50 p.m. Friday, April 25, at Greencroft Health Care Center, Goshen, after a brief illness.

She was born June 24, 1927, in Custer County, Okla., to the late Menno and Catherine (Schlabach) Yoder.

On Oct. 23, 1952, in Goshen, she married Marvin J. Miller. He died June 9, 2008.

Surviving are a daughter, Sandra (Douglas) Miller-Givan; sons Dallas Miller, Nathan (Diane) Miller, Arnold Miller and Anthony (Jackie) Miller, all of Goshen; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and sisters Ida Riddle and Margaret "Peg" (Francis) Miller, both of Goshen.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Alta Whybrew, Sarah Whybrew and Barbara Kauffman; and brother Ezra Yoder.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, April 28, at the Meeting House at Greencroft, Goshen, and for an hour prior to the 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 29, funeral service at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, Middlebury. Burial will be in Clinton Union Cemetery, Goshen.

Miller, S. Alberta Beachy

GOSHEN - S. Alberta Beachy Miller, 82, passed away Tuesday evening, June 3, in her home at Waterford Crossing after a lifelong struggle with heart issues.

She was born Jan. 9, 1932, in Plain City, Ohio, to Valentine R. and Barbara (Yoder) Schrock.

On Dec. 4, 1949, she married Joni H. Beachy. He died June 13, 1974.

She later married John O. Miller on May 9, 1992. He died Nov. 8, 2012.

She is survived by four children, Emma (Wayne) Beachy and Anita (Todd) Neuschwander, both of Goshen, Marilee (Donald) Gingerich of Clarksville, Mich., and Gary D. Beachy of Middlebury; eight stepchildren, Rachel Miller of New York City, Joy (JD) Gerber of White Pigeon, Mich., Miriam (Nathan) Yoder of Harrisonburg, Va., Elwayne Miller of Middlebury, Elroy (Linda) Miller of Harrisonburg, Galen (Cheryl) Miller of Chandler, Ariz., Keith (Pam) Miller of Middlebury and Mark (Phyllis) Miller of Mechanicsburg, Ohio; 14 grandchildren; 29 step- grandchildren; four great-grandsons; 34 great-step-grandchildren; three great-great-step-grandchildren; and six siblings, Viola (Dave) Schrock and Gladys Troyer, both of Middlebury, Betty (Perry) Marner of LaGrange, Ernest (Jan) Schrock of Angola, Glen Schrock of Wapakoneta, Ohio, and Floyd (Darla) Schrock of LaPorte.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; a sister, Gertie Gingerich; and three brothers, Ruben, Lawrence and Vernon Schrock.

She accepted Christ in her youth and served him and many others faithfully until her passing.

A longtime area resident, she was a homemaker and worked as a librarian at Clinton Christian School for 13 years. She was a member of Living Water Mennonite Church. She graded Bible study courses for Gospel Echoes Prison Ministry for over 20 years and led many ladies' Bible study groups.

Alberta and her husband, Joni, served the church and community in northern Minnesota for seven years and locally at both the Pleasant Grove and Mount Joy Mennonite churches.

Friends may call from 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 6, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home and from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Saturday, June 7, at the church. A 10 a.m. Saturday, funeral service will be conducted at Living Water Mennonite Church. Pastors Marvin Troyer, Todd Neuschwander and Dewayne Kurtz will officiate. Burial will follow in Miller 8 Square Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Gospel Echoes Prison Ministry or Clinton Christian School.

March 2, 1933 - Oct. 8, 2014

GOSHEN - Sally R. Miller, 81, passed away Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 8, at The Maples at Waterford Crossing after recently being diagnosed with a brain tumor.

She was born March 2, 1933, in Niles, Mich., to Claude and Lulu (Umbaugh) Gall.

On April 20, 1954, she married Kenneth L. Miller in Nappanee. He preceded her in death Feb. 2, 2014.

Surviving are two sons, Bruce and Ed Miller, both of Goshen; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a brother, David (Doris) Gall of Wakarusa.

Mrs. Miller was an active member at Silverwood Mennonite Church, where she played the organ and participated in the women's sewing and quilting groups. She was a loving homemaker who also worked in local grocery stores and gave piano and organ lessons from her home.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 13, at Silverwood Mennonite Church, 1712 W. Clinton St., Goshen, where a funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14. Pastor Ron Guengerich will officiate.

According to Sally's wishes, cremation will take place following the service at Yoder-Culp Crematory.

Feb. 11, 1931 - Nov. 29, 2014

GOSHEN - Velda Fern Miller, 83, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, Nov. 29, at IU Health Goshen Hospital. She had been in declining health over the past year.

Mrs. Miller was born Feb. 11, 1931, in Goshen to Joseph and Lydia Ann (Miller) Slabach.

In November 1952, she married Menno Beachy Jr.; they divorced in 1977. On May 18, 1997, she married Lloyd A. Miller.

Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Linda D. (Craig) Miller of Amboy; four sons, Wayne E. (Emma) Beachy of Goshen, Keith R. Beachy of Edwardsburg, Mich., Karol D. (Patricia) Beachy of Nappanee, and Kenneth L. (Anna) Beachy of Wakarusa; two step-daughters, Joanna (Bob) Becker of Houston, and Julia (Robin) Lee of San Jose, Calif.; 20 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Edna E. (Vernon) Schmucker of Goshen and Annabelle (Joni) Mastof Goshen; and two brothers, Floyd D. (Jane) Slabach of Fort Wayne and Joseph D. Slabach of Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; six sisters, Mary Miller, Pauline Weirich, Ruby Gingerich, Ida Mast, Josephine Mast, Arlowene Borkholder; and two brothers, Robert and Freeman Slabach.

A very active woman, Velda worked in local factories and at Wieland Design where she was an upholsterer.

Her hobbies and interests included flower gardening, watching birds and baking.

Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought much joy into her life.

A member of Clinton Frame Mennonite Church, Velda had a deep faith in her Lord and Savior.

Family and friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2, at Clinton Frame Mennonite Church, 63846 C.R. 35, Goshen, and for one hour prior to the 10:30 a.m. funeral service Wednesday, Dec. 3. Pastors Terry Diener and Matt Yoder will officiate. Burial will follow the service in Benton Lutheran Cemetery.

GOSHEN - Viola Ruth Miller, 80, of Goshen, died at 6:50 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 17, at her residence. Her death was unexpected and due to natural causes.

She was born March 19, 1934, in Elkhart County, to Dan R. and Katie (Schrock) Miller.

On Aug. 13, 1955, in Goshen, she married Crist W. Miller.

He survives along with a daughter, Krista (John) Murray of Hesston, Kan.; two sons, Kenneth (Nancy) Miller of Bourbon and Ronald (Bobbie) Miller of Goshen; two brothers, Olin (Anita) Miller and Ora M. (Anita) Miller, both of Goshen; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three sisters-in-law, Ludean Miller of Sun City West, Ariz., Martha Miller of Elkhart and Dorothy Miller of Goshen.

Visitation will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 21, at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, 1003 S. Main St., Middlebury. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 22, at North Goshen Mennonite Church, followed by a funeral meal.

Burial will be in Bontrager Cemetery, Middlebury.

Mishler, Evelyn Regina Miller

May 13, 1924 - April 25, 2014

SHIPSHEWANA - Evelyn Regina Mishler, 89, of Shipshewana, died peacefully in her residence surrounded by her family Friday, April 25, from complications of her Alzheimer's disease.

Evelyn was born on May 13, 1924, in Shipshewana, to Clarence E. and Audra (Crampton) Miller.

She graduated from Shipshewana High School in 1942. Until her retirement, she worked as the bookkeeper for Mishler Packing Company in LaGrange.

She was a member of Shore Mennonite Church. Evelyn enjoyed music and cooking, and loved to entertain and to open her home and heart to all. Her slumber parties were famous among the children's friends.

She did volunteer work with the church and community organizations, including the Fresh-Air Program, Red Cross, Self-Help/MCC Boutique and International Student Holiday Hosting.

On Sept. 30, 1945, she married Paul R. Mishler in Emma. He survives in Shipshewana.

Also surviving are three daughters and two sons-in-law, Sharon (Edward) Schrock of Woodburn, Ore., Judith Mishler of Shipshewana and Carol (Steve) Pieper of Cambridge, Mass.; a daughter-in-law, Lynn Mishler of Kandern, Germany; two grandchildren, Caleb Mishler of Red Rock, Ariz., and Joshua (Maria) Mishler of Kandern; three great-grandchildren, Ryan, Kody and Maya Mishler, all of Kandern; two honorary sons, Rubin Lozano of Joliet, Ill., and Rene Lozano of Chicago; three sisters, Kathryn Conrick and Gretchen Loomis, both of Valparaiso, and Madeline Farrington of Canon City, Colo.; two brothers, Phil Miller of Valparaiso and Ernest Miller of San Clemente, Calif.; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Her parents; a son, Steven Mishler; and two sisters, Loleta Hostetler and Vera Weimer, preceded Evelyn in death.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 29, at Shore Mennonite Church, Shipshewana, with the Rev. Carl Horner officiating. Burial will take place in Shore Cemetery, Shipshewana. Visitation will be at the church from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 28.

, 91, of Souderton, PA died June 4, 2014 at Souderton Mennonite Homes. Esther was born in Hatfield, PA to Isaac and Maggie (Fulmer) Ruth. She was the loving wife of the late Ezra L. Moyer for 62 years. She was a member of the Souderton Mennonite Homes Fellowship.

Survived by: three daughters: Doris R. Detwiler and her husband Donald, of Telford, PA Lila R. Hackman of Harleysville, PA and Elaine R. Clemens and her husband, Andrew of Quakertown, PA; a son-in-law, Irvin Leid of Shiloh, OH; 11 Grandchildren, 26 Great-Grandchildren, a sister, Dorothy Beiler and her husband, Clarence of Mifflinburg, PA.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Judy R. Leid, a son-in-law, Ronald Hackman, two brothers, Clarence and Ernest Ruth Sr. and a sister, Naomi Ruth.

Mary M. Moyer, 93, of Souderton, passed away on June 13, 2014 in Souderton Mennonite Homes.

Born in Lower Salford, PA, she was a daughter of Wilson and Ida (Moyer) Moyer.

She was employed as a housekeeper for Souderton Mennonite Homes for many years.

In her free time, she enjoyed her friends at SMH as well as taking great pride in caring for her parents.

She is survived by many Nieces and Nephews

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Summit View Auditorium of the Souderton Mennonite Homes, 207 W. Summit St. Souderton. Moyer, who was born July 16, 1915 and died April 10, 2005.

She was born on April 20, 1920, in Nappanee, to John E. and Mattie (Stutzman) Helmuth. On October 19, 1939 in Kosciusko County she married Felty J. Mullet, he died August 3, 1990. Surviving are three daughters, Dorothy (Alton) Yoder of Goshen, Mary Ellen (Dale) Kulp of Richland Center, WI, Magalena (Glenn) Mast of Crawford, MS; two sons, Delbert (Anna Marie) Mullet of Goshen, John (Cheryl) Mullet of Brooksville, MS; 24 grandchildren, 64 great grandchildren, one great-great grandson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three sisters, Iona Kuhns, Emma Smeltz, and Polly Chupp, two brothers, Jerry and Henry Helmuth and one grandson.

Elizabeth was a homemaker and had a duel membership at Mount Joy Mennonite Church in Goshen and Palm Grove Mennonite Church in Sarasota Florida. She was an avid quilter and had wintered in Sarasota, Florida for 38 years where she enjoyed working with seashells.

Visitation will be from 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 8:00 pm Tuesday July 29, at Mount Joy Mennonite Church, Goshen. There will be one hour of visitation prior the 10:00 am funeral service on Wednesday July 30, also at the church.

Services will be conducted by Pastors Ben Shirk and Nelson Yoder. Burial will be in Townline Cemetery, Shipshewana. Memorials may be given to World Missionary Press.

NAPPANEE - In loving memory of Jason P. Mullet, who was born Feb. 28, 1994, in Nappanee to Paul and Velda (Hochstetler) Mullet.

He died June 6, 2014, in Warsaw, at the age of 20 years, three months and six days.

He leaves to mourn his parents; brothers, Timothy and Faye (Miller) Mullet of Nappanee, Kevin James and special friend Pearl Bontrager, and Duane Jay, both at home; sisters, Kristine (LaMar) Miller, Leora (Floyd) Bontrager, both of Nappanee, Ina Sue, Doreen Kay, both at home; four nephews; one niece; and grandparents, Ina Mullet of Nappanee and Gerald (NettieMiller) Hochstetler of Charlotte, Mich.

Jason was a member of the Old Order Amish Church and worked at NewMar Corp.

Family and friends may call after 5 p.m. Sunday, June 8, and all day, Monday, June 9, at the family residence , 9871 W. Hepton Road, Nappanee. MILLERSBURG - Ruby Ellen Mullett, 41, died at 9:45 p.m. Monday, Nov. 3, at Courtyard of Goshen.

She was born Jan. 5, 1973, in LaGrange to Enos H. and Mary (Hochstedler) Mullett.

Surviving are her siblings, Herman (Elsie) and Freeman (Barbara) Mullett, both of Sarasota, Fla., Alfred (Esther) Mullett and Sara Etta (Reuben) Schlabach, both of Millersburg, Ohio, Emma Jean (Marion) Schmucker and Wayne, Raymond (Irene) and Enos Jr. (Wanda) Mullett, all of Goshen, John (Dorothy) and Henry (Christina) Mullett, both of Millersburg, Ind., Wilbur Mullett and Mary Leona (Jerry) Hershberger, both of Elkhart, and Martha Irene (Samuel) Miller of Nappanee; 55 nieces and nephews; and 55 great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by one nephew.

She was a member of Old Order Amish Church.

Visitation will be after 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 5, and all day Thursday, Nov. 6, at the family home, 5305 S. 1200 W., Millersburg. Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday Nov. 7, at the family home. Burial will be in Honeyville Cemetery in Topeka.

Mumaw Catherine Ruth (m. Basinger)

(Died July 17, 2014)

Catherine Ruth Mumaw, of Harrisonburg, VA died July 17, 2014 at her home. She was born July 22, 1932 in Harrisonburg, the daughter of the late John R. and Esther Mosemann Mumaw. She grew up in the Park View area and attended Park School and Eastern Mennonite School and College.

She earned a B.S. degree in Home Economics from Eastern Mennonite College, M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Family Resource Management from Penn State University. Her doctoral program was supported with a General Foods Fund Fellowship.

Her professional career included teaching positions at Lancaster Mennonite School, PA; Eastern Mennonite College (University), VA; Goshen College (IN); and Oregon State University (OR). She also directed transcultural programs in Jamaica for home economics students. After her retirement she volunteered as an education advisor to Kathmandu University in Nepal.

She was a loyal and contributing member of the American Home Economics Association (now American Association for Family and Consumer Sciences) and of the state affiliates where she lived (VA, IN, OR). She joined the International Federation for Home Economics in 1967 and was active in leadership roles on the Executive Committee and a program committee. She was also a member of the AAUW and Women in Development organizations.

She was honored with memberships in Phi Kappa Phi, Omicron Nu, and The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International. Other honors included 1985 IHEA Leader Award by the Indiana Home Economics Association, the 1992 Family and Consumer Scientist in Community Service Award by the Oregon FACS, the 1994 Distinguished Faculty Award by the Oregon State Home Economics Alumni Association, and the Alumna of the Year Award 2006 by Eastern Mennonite University.

She was a lifelong member of the Mennonite Church. Locally she attended Harrisonburg Mennonite Church and was an active member of the Open Circle S.S. class. She served as a board member for Mennonite Mutual Aid (now Everence); Mennonite Economic Development Associates; Mennonite Community Association; and many Mennonite church committees. She also served on the boards of Indiana Partners of the Americas: Rio Grande do Sol; Corvallis-Uzhhorod Sister Cities Association; and Solar Cookers International.

Her hobby as a musician included the role of Choral Director of the ladies' sextet and triple trio for the Mennonite Hour Broadcasts; of EMC Ladies' Chorus; and RMH Nurses' Glee Club. She sang in many choirs, including the Shenandoah Valley Choral Society, Eugene Chamber Singers, The Camerata Singers, Goshen Community Chorus, and The Kathmandu Chorale. Other hobbies included photography and travel to foreign destinations, including over 40 countries and all continents.

On October 14, 2005 she married Clair L. Basinger, who survives. She is also survived by four step-daughters, Eileen Smith of Waynesboro, VA.; Carolyn (Al) Wheeler of Stuarts Draft, VA.; Darlene (Dan) Harman of Weyers Cave, VA.; and Debbie (Glenn) Bollinger of Bridgewater, VA.; nine step-grandchildren: Tracy (Jennifer) Smith, Tonya (Merle) Swarey, Rhonda Scott Fitzgerald (Dusty), Ryan (Darby) Deming, Renee (Jason) Miller, Nathan and Zachary Harman, Andrew and Joshua Bollinger; thirteen step-great-grandchildren: Levi, Jeremy, Aaron, Daniel and Joshua Smith, Seth Swarey, Dakota and Delanie Miller, Tyler Scott, Kolby Powell, Dakota Boyers, Cheyenne and Montana Deming.

Three sisters survive: Grace Mumaw, Harrisonburg; Lois (Emanuel) Martin, Harrisonburg; and Miriam Mumaw, Arlington, VA. She was preceded in death by a sister, Helen (Laban) Peachey and a step-son-in-law, Cleo Smith. Three nieces and three nephews survive with their families, as well as numerous cousins and friends.

A service of celebration will be held at Harrisonburg Mennonite Church on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at 1:30pm. A private burial will take place at the Lindale Mennonite Church cemetery.

Murphy, Joyce Hostetler

April 21, 1929 - Nov. 3, 2014

GOSHEN - Joyce Murphy, 85, passed away Monday, Nov. 3, in her home.

She was born April 21, 1929, in Emma to Paul and Ruth (Hooley) Hostetler.

Survivors include three sons, Phillip A. (Nancy) Murphy of Howe, Dennis C. (Christine Gardner) Murphy of Tucson, Ariz., and Mitchell Murphy of Levan, Utah; eight grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Rosie (Al) Miller of Shipshewana and JoAnn Yoder of Topeka; and a brother, Ernie Hostetler of Alexandria.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Murphy in 1971; a son, Steven G. Murphy; a daughter, Brenda Monroe; a brother, Paul Hostetler Jr.; and a sister, Carolyn Troyer.

She was a longtime member of Brenneman Memorial Missionary Church, formerly Brenneman United Missionary Church, where she sang in the choir for 60 years. She has been employed by Dollar Tree since 2002 and was previously employed by Kline's Department Store and Jeannette's Formal Wear.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home in Goshen, where there will be a 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, funeral service. The Rev. Bill Richardson will officiate. Burial will follow the service in Violett Cemetery in Goshen.

Musselman, F. Elizabeth "Betty" Anders
, 95, of Telford, PA; formerly of Souderton, PA died on Thursday, February 13, 2014 at Lutheran Community at Telford. Betty was born in Lansdale, PA to Arthur F. & Edna (Nyce) Anders. She was the wife of LeRoy "Roy" F. Musselman for 60 years. Betty was a member of Zion Mennonite Church. Also a member of the Women's Club of Indian Valley and a member of Reliance Chapter #503 of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Survived by her daughter, Judith Doherty & husband, Thomas of Burlington, NJ; her son, Thomas L. Musselman of Pennsburg, PA; her two grandsons, G. William Fisher & wife, Roseanne of Burlington, NJ, Timothy Fisher & wife, Regina of Lafayette, CO; her four great-grandchildren - Danielle, Jake, Alexa & Gus; her brother-in-law, Wesley Kriebel of Vienna, VA and her numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband and her five sisters, Alma Bergey, Evelyn Alderfer, Edna Anders, Doris Hendricks, Jean Kriebel and her two brothers, Arthur Anders and Earl Anders.

A memorial service was February 22, 2014 at Lutheran Community Chapel, Telford, PA A private inturnment was at Zion Memorial Gardens.

Musselman, Homer Drissel
, 93, of Souderton, Montgomery Co., PA died April 29, 2014 at the same place. He was born September 27, 1920 at Harleysville, Montgomery Co., PA to Melvin and Ella (Drissel) Musselman. On March 13, 1943 he was married to Grace L. Schlosser, who was born March 9, 1923 and died July 20, 2013.

Surviving are children, Linda Gehman and husband Walt; Roy Musselman and wife Mary; and Betsy McCrorie and husband David; 13 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren.

Two brothers Stanley Musselman and Richard Musselman preceded him in death.

Memorial services were held May 2, 2014 at Plains Mennonite Church, Hatfield, Montgomery Co., PA, with burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Musselman, Kathryn Y. Erb
, 85, of Harleysville, Montgomery Co., PA died May 6, 2014 at Sellersville, Bucks Co., PA. She was born December 21, 1928 at Lower Salford, Montgomery Co., PA to Linford and Katie (Young) Erb. On June 15, 1946 she was married to Harold H. Musselman, who was born July 13, 1924 and died March 9, 2004.

Surviving are children, Sue Moyer and husband Donald; David Musselman and wife Beverly; and Laurie Mason and husband Rod; twelve grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, a brother, Walter Erb and a sister, Sandy Redcay.

A son, H. Brent Musselman, and two brothers, Ray Erb and Stanley Erb preceded her in death.

Memorial services were held May 10, 2014 at Salford Mennonite Church, Harleysville, PA with burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Musser, Charlene L.
, 76, of Narvon, PA formerly of Blue Ball, PA died August 3, 2014 at Zerbe Sisters Nursing Center after a brief illness. She was born 1937 in Blue Ball to Arthur S. and Bessie A. (Rutt) Musser.

Surviving is a sister-in-law, Mabel Eaby Musser of Leola; three nieces, Kim, Kristine, and Karla; a great niece, Allison; a great nephew Kyle; and a great-great niece, Katrina.
Preceding her in death is her paents, a brother, Kenneth E. Musser in 2012.
A graveside service was August 6, 2014 at Goodville Mennonite Cemetery.
